MassEcon Elects 2016 Directors

AT ANNUAL MEETING UMASS PRESIDENT ADDRESSES 80 BUSINESS AND POLITICAL LEADERS
Taidgh McClory of CBRE | New England to join Board

BOSTON, Massachusetts – December 16, 2015 – The members of MassEcon  elected a new board member at its year-end Annual Meeting at the UMass Club in Boston on December 10, 2015: Taidgh McClory, Senior Vice President /Partner of Strategic Planning & Brokerage Operations for CBRE | New England.

Directors re-elected to MassEcon’s Board included Robert Brustlin of VHB, Brian Cohen of Transwestern | RBJ, Fred Mulligan of Cutler Associates, Stephen Flavin of WPI, Dave Hayes of BSC Group, and Greg Buscone of Citizens Bank.

Elected as MassEcon’s officers were Brian Cohen of Transwestern│RBJ as Chairman, Greg Buscone of Citizens Bank as Vice Chairman and Treasurer, Geoff Howell of DLA Piper as Clerk, Fred Mulligan of Cutler Associates, and Robert Brustlin of VHB.

Following the Annual Meeting, UMass President Marty Meehan delivered remarks on the Commonwealth’s economic competitiveness through education and entrepreneurship. He focused on the

strengths of UMass and how they are aligned with helping grow the Commonwealth’s key industry sectors, along with priorities for UMass moving forward. The newly inaugurated president also fielded questions from the audience of 80 business and political leaders from throughout the Commonwealth.
