Annual Corporate Welcome Reception Event Hosts 12 Companies From Overseas and Across the U.S.
BOSTON, MA – Twelve new companies to Massachusetts were honored today at MassEcon’s Corporate Welcome Reception. These companies, venturing from four countries and several other states, selected Massachusetts as their home to do business.
The companies recognized at the Seaport Science Center at 601 Congress Street in Boston represent new jobs and business growth in locations including Lowell, Stow, Burlington, Cambridge, Marlborough, and Boston, and industries that include sciences, technology, renewable energy, food, and software.
“We are grateful to these 12 companies for choosing our state as their new home and are thrilled to welcome them to Team Massachusetts,” said Secretary of Economic Development Yvonne Hao. “These companies represent sectors where Massachusetts is leading, like life sciences and healthcare, innovation and technology, and clean energy and climate tech. We’re excited to see how these businesses will create new jobs and foster economic growth within our state, and our administration stands ready to partner with them to ensure they succeed.”
MassEcon Executive Director Peter Abair welcomed Secretary Hao; other state officials including Jeevan Ramapriya, Executive Director at the Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment; more than 20 representatives of the companies being honored; and 50 more guests from the business community throughout Massachusetts. BioMed Realty was the host sponsor, and Bowditch, VHB, and Hunneman were co-sponsors of the event.
