3Decor, Lawrence

Originally from Turkey, textile manufacturer 3Decor chose Lawrence over locations
in Connecticut and Tennessee for its manufacturing because of the city’s textile background,
industrial history, and large immigrant population. The company has occupied
its 32, 750 SF facility since December 2016 and plans to hire 30 new employees this year.

Air Berlin, Boston

Air Berlin began nonstop service between Boston’s Logan International Airport and its
Dusseldorf, Germany hub in May 2016.

Bayer, Cambridge

German multinational chemical, pharmaceutical and life sciences company Bayer
opened its first East Coast Innovation Center in Cambridge in March 2016. Bayer was
attracted to Cambridge because of the local innovation ecosystem comprised of strong
universities, academic institutes, and biotech companies. The Innovation Center added
5 employees and sponsors more than 50 full-time employees in Boston through its partnership
with the Broad Institute.

BeWell Connect, Boston

Based in Paris, France, BeWell Connect’s Visiomed Group, which specializes in medical
electronics, opened its North American headquarters in Boston in February 2017. Located
in the Back Bay, the office is home to 4 (soon to be 5) employees.

Biognosys, Beverly

Biognosys, a Switzerland-based company which uses cutting edge techonolgy to provide
innovative services and tools for highly multiplexed protein quantification, opened an
office in Beverly in January 2016 and added 4 employees.

Brammer Bio, Lexington, Cambridge, Somerville

Brammer Bio established itself in Massachusetts in March 2016 after a merger with Florida
company Florida Biologix and has since opened three Massachusetts offices: a 50K
SF office in Lexington, a 66K SF office in Cambridge, and a 49K SF office in Somerville.
The contract development and manufacturing organization currently employs over 100
people in Massachusetts.

Duro-Last, Ludlow

The world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, Duro-Last, opened its
sixth US location in Ludlow in December 2016. The company originiated in Michigan
and now has a 50K SF manufacturing unit, which houses 125 employees.

DONG Energy, Boston

Danish company DONG Energy, a world leader in offshore wind development, construction
and operation, opened a Boston office in March 2017 and added 16 employees to the
Commonwealth. DONG Energy’s Bay State Wind project will construct a ultilty scale
wind farm off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard.

Eataly, Boston

Marketplace Eataly, which was created in Italy, added its first Massachusetts location at
the Prudential Center in Boston in November 2016. The 45K SF food emporium employs
600 people and sells over 10,000 products.

Founders Science Group, Taunton

Pharmaceutical research and development company Founders Science Group relocated
its headquarters and lab facilities from Rhode Island to Taunton in October 2016. The
company chose Southeastern Massachusetts because of its affordability and space for
future expansion. Currently, the company houses 3 employees.

For The Record, Woburn

For The Record, an Australian company which produces software and hardware for court
recording and transcription, added a US unit in Woburn in July 2016 where it houses 18
employees. FTR has been selected to provide integrated digital court recording and content
management solutions for the Massachusetts Trial Court.

LEO Pharma, Cambridge

Originally from Denmark, LEO Pharma Inc. established its first US research and development
location in Cambridge at the Cambridge Innovation Center in July 2016. The
LEO Science & Tech Hub in Cambridge currently houses 4 employees.

Moby Dick Brewing Co., New Bedford

Moby Dick Brewing Co. opened its first brewery and restaraunt in New Bedford in March
2017, making the company the first grain-to-glass brewer in New Bedford in 30 years.
The company repurposed a 9,400 SF space in a building from the 1920’s and currently
employs 30 people.

Nexthink, Boston

Swiss IT analytics and technology company Nexthink established its US headquarters in
Boston’s Downtown Crossing in November 2016. This facility marks the latest in a series of
new offices that Nexthink has opened globally as part of its continued growth, including
new regional facilities in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and
the Middle East (Dubai).

Smartick, Boston

Smartick, an education technology company focused on developing math skills, came
to Boston from Madrid, Spain in the spring of 2016. Smartick was drawn to the involved
and supportive start-up community and the global talent that Massachusetts universites
attract.

Signature Healthcare Services, Westborough

Signature Healthcare Services, headquartered in California, began the process of converting
previous Westborough office space into a 90K SF in-patient and out-patient hospital in
April 2016. Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is expected to be completed by
July or August 2017 and will employ 250-500 employees.

Prodrive Technologies, South Weymouth

Prodrive Technologies, based in the Netherlands, selected Union Point in South Weymouth
as the location of its new 300K SF electronics research and manufacturing facility.
The Dutch robotics company is expected to bring 300 to 500 engineering jobs to Massachusetts
this year.

Vcanbio, Natick

Chinese biotech company Vcanbio opened its US headquarters in a 15,504 SF facility in
Natick. Since its move in September 2016, Vcanbio has hired 20 employees.
