Featured Speaker David Gibbons, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA)
In his current role, David is responsible for the management and operations of the MCCA’s portfolio of properties and facilities which include: Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) in South Boston, The John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Boston’s historic Back Bay neighborhood, The MassMutual Center in Springfield, The Boston Common Garage and the Lawn On D, an innovative and popular green space and event area adjacent to the BCEC. Under his leadership the MCCA has continued to enhance its mission to create economic growth for the benefit of taxpayers and businesses in the commonwealth with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service, prudent management and fiscal responsibility, and attracting a diverse array of events from the commonwealth, across the region and around the world which generate three-quarters of a billion dollars in annual economic activity to the state.
