MassEcon’s Ninth Annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards

Winners selected based on job growth, facility expansion, and community involvement

BOSTON, Massachusetts – November 21, 2012 – MassEcon held its Ninth Annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards luncheon on November 20th that 12 noon at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Companies from across the Commonwealth were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy. Over 400 people attended the event, including featured speaker Governor Deval Patrick, Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Greg Bialecki, and award presenter WCVB-TV, Channel 5’s longtime news anchor, Anthony Everett.

“”These and many other stories of investment and partnership are stories of shared success — just as we have invested in these MassEcon award winners, they have invested in us and the Commonwealth by growing jobs and facilities across the state.”, said Governor Deval Patrick.

The winning companies (listed below) were selected after a reception with their competitors and judges at an afternoon event at the UMass Club in Boston. The reception enabled senior executives from the companies to present their attributes in the categories of job growth, facility expansion, investment and community involvement since January 1, 2011.

The growth stories of the winning companies are all unique and represent a broad range of industries – including defense, software, information technology, manufacturing, life sciences, robotics, and consumer products.

“The commitment these companies make in Massachusetts have long-term economic impacts which are vital to the continued growth of the Massachusetts economy. MassEcon is proud to celebrate these companies for staying and growing here,” stated Susan Houston, Executive Director of MassEcon.
