Massachusetts Ambassadors Welcome Companies New to the Commonwealth at 4th Annual Corporate Welcome

Cambridge, MA, April 26, 2012 – MassEcon and its network of Massachusetts Ambassadors are welcoming companies new to the state at its Fourth Annual Corporate Welcome Reception at Genzyme’s headquarters in Cambridge tonight. The event brings together over 150 private sector leaders and senior state officials, including Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Greg Bialecki, to welcome companies that have recently opened their doors in Massachusetts.

The companies that are new additions to the Commonwealth’s business landscape include DPS Biometics of Framingham; Hadapt, Inc of Cambridge; Inspiration Biopharmaceuticals of Cambridge; Japan Airlines of Boston; Matrigen Life Technologies of Worcester; MIDAC Corporation of Westfield; Navidea Biopharmaceuticals of Andover; Netwatch of Medford; Russian Venture Company– USA of Boston; and Wegmans Food Markets of Northborough. The companies are both start-ups and established businesses, and their locations of origin include California, New York, Connecticut, Russia, and Ireland. They represent a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, biotechnology, information technology, and venture capital.

MassEcon Chairman Fred Mulligan thanked the companies for bringing innovation and opportunity to the state. “The companies at this event are a wonderful addition to the Commonwealth’s business community,” commented Mulligan. “We at MassEcon hope this marks the beginning of a long-standing relationship with the Commonwealth.”
