Susan Houston is Executive Director of MassEcon and has held that position since the organization’s founding in 1993. Susan’s professional background includes experience in commercial real estate development, project management, and leasing at Cabot, Cabot & Forbes and JMB/Urban Development Company. Susan serves on the board of directors of the New England Economic Partnership, Jewish Vocational Services (JVS), and the Brookline Economic Development Advisory Board. Susan also represents MassEcon on the Board of the Massachusetts Marketing Partnership. She is a past board member of New England Women in Real Estate and the Massachusetts Economic Development Council. In her spare time, Susan can be found at her favorite neighborhood haunts – the Brookline Booksmith and Coolidge Corner Theatre. She enjoys the outdoors, exploring cities on foot, and cooking with family and friends. Susan holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University and a Master in City Planning from MIT.
